In The Schedule

Keeping it on the down low this weekend with hopes for some creative projects to see the light of day.
Here are some links I found this week...

+ Shades of pink, rose, blush, salmon, fuschia and magenta in this editorial for Vogue China by Greg Kadel. The colours echoed in the cloud formation this morning when I looked out the back window.  Beautiful.

+ A different view... 50 beautiful back views from the recent Fall 2014 runway here.  Sometimes you don't get the full picture until you get a 360 degree view.

+ Speaking of the full view... I was a little surprised to learn Carla Bruni Sarkozy was still writing music whilst her husband was in office.  I don't know why... perhaps it was the images of her in immaculate Dior ensemble, colour coordinated and not a hair or step out of place; not at all like the free-spirited, bohemian, folksy muso she comes across as in this video of her singing a song on a recent edition of The Edit.  Looks like she had a different life for a while...

+  An hommage to L'Wren Scott via Fr. Vogue here.  So beautiful...

+ Adding to the look, the allure and mystery of a Celebrity's brand, stylists are in demand and hot property.  Loved this interesting article on the rise and popularity of the Hollywood stylist, via Vanity Fair.

+ And speaking of the smoke and mirror effect... this lovely short film of the behind the scenes at Haute Couture week gives you a sneak peak of the machinations of this fantasy world.  Via Vogue UK.

+ And finally, Vogue UK editor Alexandra Shulman says readers of Vogue don't want to see a 'real person' on the cover of Vogue.  Read the interview in the Telegraph UK here, which obviously goes to sample sizes, models, and retouching.   The difference is these days, that everything is so available, so attainable, so instantaneous and the line between fantasy and reality gets a little blurred or shifted.  What say you?

Have a great weekend...
