Home Style, Elegant and Playful, Manhattan

Just admiring some pics of Isaac Mizrahi's Greenwich Village, Manhattan home with its simple quiet elegance, mixture of arts and antiques and the relaxed glamour that sits nicely in these white walls.

A little bit of relaxed glamour is a nice way to keep the momentum going during fashion week season don't you think?

I love that antique pedestal table in the living room and the simple marble fireplace surround.  In the bathroom is a fabulous marble wrapped tub and walls, and the powder takes on a thoroughly modern and fun feel with the perspex counter and sink.   That bench top in the kitchen is a dream too.

Throw in some bold artwork dotted throughout, loads of natural light and a smattering of refined and colourful furniture and it is indeed a snapshot of a Mizrahi wardrobe; fun, classic and timeless.

When I first saw this house tour I was pleasantly surprised, perhaps because I was expecting a different style in his home. I loved the striped footstools in that reading nook. I have to add that his living room looks beautiful. It's so simple but then there are so many wonderful details that make it grand somehow.
