Home to a gallery owner and consultant, the prevalent feel is Modern Mid-Century American...the slate floors do it for me, love the random effect. (More so because I too have random bluestone paving in my own backyard!)

Interesting floor, but I would see it more appropriate for a terrace or the backyard. Nothing can equal the effect of a lacquered wooden floor in a room in my opinion.

That floor looks interesting but I think I'd only choose it for a specific part, like the hallway or something, because this girl needs her wood ;-)
I need to sit in those pink sofas, enjoy a drink and relax!
