I have a thing for .... Frescoes

Would it be too much to decorate your walls with frescoes?

Something unique and utterly beautiful, handcrafted and artisanal such as this 18th Century palazzo must be appreciated daily.  Owned by an architect, situated in Prato in Italy, a renovation was undertaken which was sympathetic to the original features of this home.  Architect Sabrina Bignami lives here and also accommodates lovers of old houses, architects, artists in a guest house.

Expect a knock on the door soon!  More stunning images via Yatzer.

Hope your enjoying an artisan start to the week...

Oh that exquisite colour!

Chandelier in the kitchen - not over the top right?

If you visit Venice, most of their small palace/hotels are filled up with them. SOoooooo lovely!

Have a lovely week sweetie!

So dreamy. I saw a villa filled with frescoes in the Tuscany region when I was young-- I think it was a Medici villa-- and I'll never forget the effect it had on me. Having that in my own home would be like living in a fairy tale. Have a great week!

That chandelier is a dream! I can imagine DIY'ing one with bead chains just like it for a fraction of the cost...So glam, so gauche, totally speaks to my style!
