In The Schedule

IAnother fast week has flown by; blink and you would have missed it... so don't miss these links I had a little bit of time to find these week - enjoy!

+ One of my absolute all time favourite style inspirations - Isabella Rossellini as she appears in the new season Bulgari campaign - is it me or does she not look a day older than when she appeared in Lancome's campaigns in the 80s!  A very cool choice Bulgari!

And some more very cool casting below... that goes to show that the world does not end when you hit 40, or 50, or beyond!  More Fall 2012 campaigns via NYmag.

82 yr old dancer, Jacqui Murdock in Lanvin by steven meisel

Paul Weller & Miles Kane for John Varvatos

Gary Oldman & Willem Dafoe for Prada

Incidentally, if you haven't heard about 82 year old, Jacqui Murdock and her travels from Harlem to Paris to the Lanvin Fall campaign then here is an interview she did at Fashionista.   I think she's coming into a bit of a renaissance...

+  Speaking of which, we can also take a HUGE style sheet from Costanza Pascolato's book when it comes to looking polished and chic at every age!  Okay so it probably helps if you're working at Brazilian Vogue and have fashion on the brain 24/7, but hey, don't you think she looks amazing - mixing J.Crew and Cos finds with Prada, Givenchy and Miu Miu - I'm inspired!  Read the about Costanza's wardrobe finds and her must haves here, via Garance Dore.  Tres Chic!

+ Before photography, there was illustrations and every magazine worth their readership would employ talented illustrators to convey the feeling of luxury and glamour onto every page.   You can have that little bit of luxury and glamour hanging on your wall too, by checking out what's available for  purchase via Vogue UK.  Artwork of recent fashion ranges from Prada, Giambattista Valli and Dior to name a few,  by illustrators David Downton, Tanya Ling back through to the archives of Gruau and Bobby Hillson.  Oh dear, there goes the credit card!

Valli - David Downton

Prada - Tanya Ling

+ Some cool grey, silvery and wintry inspiration for the home (well for us in the Southern Hemisphere for now), from this cottage found via House to Home.  All snuggled up!

+  Speaking of snuggling and cozying up - a trend forecast for winter 2013/14 from Trend Tablet.  Now this is my kind of trend - cosy time, down time and family time!

+  Look at this delicious recipe from Roost ... Snapper yum - couscous yum... now I did say I was having people for dinner right?

+  Mental note, must buy new coat during the sales ... hmm something like this one - found via myfavouritecolourisshiny.  Taupe and turquoise - looks good no?

+ And finally, take a moment to stop and look around you - head back, gaze at the ceiling and then your surroundings.  I spent some time in the city this week being a tour guide and it's amazing how much there was to see.  Here are some places that I snapped.

Such great finds, Helen! I have the first two topics saved for my notebook pages as well. :) It was so nice reading about Costanza Pascolato's essentials. Garance is such an inspiration.
