In The Schedule

What a busy week... a great week... productive and interesting.  With many events planned for the weeks ahead before christmas (yeah, I know 6 weeks or something), I've met with friends over brunch, and bumped into others at unexpected outings and re-visited old acquaintances - it's been fun!  But I have had some time to find some really cool links this week (wouldn't think of letting you all down...)  Hope you enjoy them -

+  A look at some really cool backstage video before the shows at Balmain (above), Rodarte, Loewe, and more over at Self Service.  Get up close with last minute adjustments at Balmain (I love these 80's earrings above!), see Karlie Kloss working her Rodarte dress for the cameras, and admire the intricacies of the Loewe appliqued leathers.   View here.

+  Speaking of great looking jewellery, take a first look at the new Bottega Veneta jewellery line as worn by various artists, models, celebrities (above Garance Dore), captured by Patrick Demarchelier.  More images at NyMag here.

+ I love how Marion Cotillard moves from elegant Parisienne to edgy fashionista to kooky otherworldly character - just seems too easy for her.  Here she is in an interview and cover shot in WMag and photographed by Tim Walker in an array of costumes.

+ Keep it simple with some inspiration from Le Smoking, simple black and white for an anything but minimal wardrobe.  Photographed by Gregory Harris for Interview Magazine here.

+  You've all seen the over the top images from last week's Victoria Secret show in NY, perhaps you might have missed the amazing shoes that were designed by Nicholas Kirkwood for the show... more images via Fashionologie.

+ No it's not the latest digital print from Mary Katranzou or Peter Pilotto... it's me!  Well, let's take a step back... its an amazing bit of digital imagery capturing 'silk drawings' as you click (here)  and drag your mouse across the screen as you pre select a symmetry option and colourway.  A bit of fun to add to your day and very, very time consuming!  Found via the awesome Automatism.

+  How delicious does this look!?   Spinach and Feta lasagne recipe on A Merry Mishap - I must try this soon!  yumm....

+  I will make sure I try on some new swimsuits for this coming summer BEFORE I take one bite of that Feta & Spinach lasagne, because...well, you know how it is - changing room mirrors being what they are, you need all the help you can get right!  First I will take a look at the new We Are Handsome lookbook and narrow down the field before I attempt to dis-robe!  Aaah, summer what are you doing to me!   More images via Harpers Bazaar Aus here.

I'm visiting friends this weekend for a lazy lunch and having a bit of a christmas shop (not finished yet!)... Just like every woman out there... heaps to do... so how to be inspired... turn up the volume with some Chaka Khan (I'm Every Woman)... and DANCE!   If only you could hear/see me now!!!

Have a good one x...

Oh, what a beautiful jewellery line from Bottega Veneta! Love the cufflinks Alexander Provan is wearing and I like the personalities they chose for the campaign. Marion Cotillard really is a stunner.
Have a great weekend, Helen! xo
