Home Style, A Shady Holiday Home in Uruguay

I caught up with a friend this morning at the newly opened cafe around the corner, and sat in the sunny table by the corner window enjoying a coffee... just a gorgeous sunny morning in a bit of shade.

Much like this holiday home in Uruguay... sunny outlook, cool calm interior and a penchant of pops of red set against the earthy concrete finishes inside which make it restrained, calm, fun and quite elegant in it's minimal decor.

Originally a rustic, rundown farmhouse, it was opened up to reveal simple bones, clean lines and open spaces... there is even a well in the courtyard and a plunge pool... how blue is that water?  And that orchard in the making has my heart too.

Well, pops of red did appear on the recent runway shows ... and don't even mention those red lace dresses at Dolce e Gabbana for Fall 2013/14.
