In The Schedule

Here's hoping for a lovely, sunny weekend coming up ... there's a lunch, a shop, and a breakfast catch up in-store and I am planning to start a xmas list this weekend (did you know that there is only 10 1/2 weeks to go!) and you know how these things just kinda sneak up on you.

Oh well, here are some things I found on the web earlier this week.

+ Dress for the job you want! it says... I couldn't agree more - take it up a notch and smarten up your act for some great office/work wear in this editorial for 'Power Dressing' via Wmag here.

+  Have you seen these videos via Moda Operandi of fashionable ladies talking about 'The One That Got Away'?  No, it's not a man... but Karlie Kloss, Anna Dello Russo, Giovanna Battaglia, Poppy Delevingne, Caroline Issa and Leandra Medine chat about the one outfit/dress/pant/etc, that they should have bought!  Who says fashion is not about emotion, I love how Anna Dello Russo equates her clothing collection to a necklace or string of pearls - if one is missing the whole string goes... it's quite funny... take a look here.

+ Gents, you have it so easy, whack on a suit, a shirt and tie and some nice clean shoes and you're done!  If you need further help, check out the specialist Louis Vuitton New Bond Street Maison, where you can avail the services of a Butler, a Stylist, and a Tailor to keep you up to date.  Or just get some tips from all three here via Glass Magazine - taking care of your clothes, how to pack, how to host a dinner party - it's all here for the Sartorial Lad about town!

+  I love, love my scarves - a scarf is a necessary accessory in any wardrobe but sometimes a different length, shape, colour means wearing the thing a completely different way.  To allay any indecision, check out the new Hermes Silk Knot app that covers 6 different knots and makes it easy for anyone.  More knots will be added to the selection down the track.   Don't you love Jess Hart in this lacy summery dress and stylish scarf... so pretty.

+ Every Melburnite knows Miss Louise - the luxury shoe store in the heart of the city that has fashionistas flocking through its doors ever since it opened 1964.   From humble beginnings locally manufacturing shoes, the business and brand has grown to stock Saint Laurent, Celine, Dior, Valentino.. and really anyone worth putting on your feet.  Have a read of how it all came about and how the business has evolved over the years to be the quintessential luxury accessory store situated at the base of the Westin hotel right next to Chanel.  Via Broadsheet.  The sales are a must!

+ Little Custard Doughnuts... just 3 little words... they can't be that bad... can they?  Am really really tempted to try these this weekend!  Via Donna Hay

Have a wonderful weekend whatever you get up to!
