A Monarch Movement

Inspired by "how we as humans have individual markings through textiles like individual markings on butterflies...", this current collection titled Monarch Movement from Australian label Willow, plays with differing textures, shapes, and silhouettes  - wool, leather, silks, sheers - and a palette of black, white and russet.

The perfect wardrobe that resonates with a sense of warmth and strength, hard and soft, delicate and tough.  The silhouettes are both sharp and comforting and yet the details are soft and ladylike.  A great combination for the modern woman - a juxtaposition of every dynamic - a shape shifter if you will.

I love those leather boots and that beautifully textured dress with the front-side drape detail.  Oh, and that gorgeous patterned jacket in the first still!  In fact, I like everything here, is that too greedy?  Which outfit denotes your marking?

View more images from the Monarch Movement lookbook here, and also view the video of the behind the scenes of the photoshoot here.
