Perfect Time For A Holiday... Capri

Evoking glamourous Capri in it's hey day of the 50's & 60s, Capri Tiberio Palace, since the earlier twentieth century to now, merges Italian dolce vita with the a new fashionable elegance.  Seriously this place is a feast for the eyes!

The style is Regency, the architecture Mediterranean, the palette is refined in the 60 rooms (including 17 suites) - sorbet hues of mint, rose, lemon, lilac and turquoise; references to old hollywood abound in the form of framed prints in each room (think Sophia Loren and Marlon Brandon); furnishings are beautifully detailed in exquisite jewelled colours and vignettes of coral, miniature busts, books and vintage objects abound.  Bathrooms are fitted with travertine and decorated with mosaics; the bar and terrace offers a view of Capri and the beautiful seas and the library houses a fabulous collection of Taschen volumes just in case you want to keep your design interests at your fingertips.  Now, I'm not really one for an open air jacuzzi but the one on the Mojito Terrace allows you take a 360degrees view of the Mediterranean... okay so maybe I'll have one glass of bubbly before dinner perhaps?  I might have a massage in the spa which is spread over 2 floors later on, hmmm?

The range of rooms covers Deluxe Suite, Family (yay!), Terrace Suite, Ambassador and Imperial Suite and vary in sizes, but with stunning interiors like these would it really matter which room you were in?  These are seriously beautifully styled rooms - I just can't decide which I like the most.  In fact I had to stop myself from taking too many screen shots from the Tiberio Palace website, you'll have to click through to see for yourself.

I'm just imagining I'm having a seasonal breakfast on the terrace of the restaurant - aah that sunshine!  Anyone for a cafe latte?

Stunning details

The room looks good enough to eat... not to mention lunch

I can see myself swanning down this staircase in a chiffon gown

Those turquoise armchairs!

View from the private jacuzzi

The restaurant and a view from one of the terrace suits

A little bit of humour too

During out honeymoon we took a day trip to Capri. It was wonderful of course, but I still preferred the rustic charm of the resorts and villages along the Amalfi Coast. The roof-top view is breathtaking (what else can you expect?) and those terraces look amazing. xo

Absolutely gorgeous. I've added it to my list of places to visit. I went to Capri when I was 14 and I can't wait to go back...visiting as an adult will be like seeing it for the first time. :)

Such a beautiful place—definitely on the must-see list one day! As for the staircase, I think I would join you in a chiffon gown—I can picture the trailing :) *sigh*
