Home Style, Low Key Simplicity in Marrakech

It's just the simplicity of this home in Marrakech that appeals; that and the obvious romanticism of a renovated home on the outskirts of the medina.  Updated with a collection of furnishings found within the souks and finishing touches by local craftsmen, the british owner of this home fell in love with the area when visiting on holiday.

The garden an example of where to find tranquility and relaxation; the window seats with a view into the private courtyard below, black granite benchtops in the kitchen, mosaic tiles throughout; and all brought together with the help of French designer, Romain Michel Meniere, who lives in Marrakech.

My favourite spot? Could well be the upstairs balcony with those floor length flowing curtains or the quiet spot in the shade of the courtyard.

I can just image a glass of mint tea in the afternoon as I contemplate the days purchases from the souk can't you?
