We're just about in the home stretch (last week before Christmas), and we're giddy with excitement over here (it's funny how all those neat little parcels under the tree, don't look so neat when I'm not around!). How about you; how are you holding up?
I'll try to keep this week's post brief ... just to leave you with more time for shopping!
+ Kate Moss has been 'Testino-ized' in this glamorous editorial for the December issue of Vogue Spain - talk about making an entrance on Christmas Day - I love this outfit! More images via here.
Nicole Kidman, Vogue 2006 |
+ An interview with Mario Testino talking about his three decade career (can you believe...) and why even celebrities and models feel the need to be 'Testino-ized' and captured in his glamourous ideal; via here.
+ Photographer Gerard Uferas, gives us an insight into the daily lives of seamstresses and tailors from the House of Dior, behind the doors on 30 Avenue Montaigne in this newly released 252 page book. 'An hommage to that which should never be hidden away in the shadows: true passion'... via Dior.
Grace Coddington with Vidal Sassoon, 1964 |
+ I hope you're not getting Grace overload yet, I'm not!... Grace Coddington can be found on the cover of i-D this month and talks here about her journey, meeting the glamourous set, and working at Vogue with Anna Wintour... There are some fabulous old photos here too... I'd love to invite her over to dinner one day! More here via i-D.
+ I love it when I find tips on where to shop or where to visit when travelling to another city - this Prague city guide let's you in on where to stay and where to dine when you're visiting the historic city (but with a more modern feel!). Via NYmag here.
+ And finally, just as we are all settling into Summer (or winter, depending on where you lay your head tonight!), W magazine entices us with a preview of Spring 2013 gowns as modelled by Daria Werbowy here. Already?...
I hope you are enjoying a restful weekend...
