But today, I enjoyed a catch up with the girls (just us 3 girls) over a lovely meal of seared tuna and artichokes, an ancient grain salad with pomegranates, and grilled haloumi. Okay... so there was a Lemon Tart in there also, just to finish it off.
It was such a lovely day outside and we could all synchronise an hour in the middle of the day, so we headed to a nearby Food & Wine bar and enjoyed a glass of bubbles amongst talk of chores, career, cooking, kids and holidays.... and why don't we do this more often?
So the conversation was clearly not a typical 'ladies who lunch' type talk... but for an hour today, I definitely felt like one.
And with all good intentions, of course we've booked another date for luncheon in the near future... as a treat... as you do.
I thoroughly recommend treating yourself to a lovely luncheon with girlfriends every now and then...

I do enjoy a luncheon with my girlfriends, always one of those feel-good moments.
Couldn't agree more. I went to the Hollywood Costume Exhibition on Saturday followed by a lunch of dumplings with a group of very dear girlfriends. Conversation ran the whole gamut of life.
And of course there were plenty of the indispensable bubbles!! One of life's pleasures that we don't indulge in often enough.
