Perfect time for a holiday...Egypt
Located in Siwa in the middle of the Sahara Desert, Adrere Amellal, is an oasis built entirely out of local products mainly mud and rock salt. A maze of internal corridors and rooms, there is no electricity here so when nightfalls, dozens of beeswax candles and oil lamps cast a beautiful glow. During the day you can take a dip in the pool, go on an excursion to the local town for a spot of bazaar shopping, ride a horse across the dunes, or just relax and enjoy the dishes of local, mostly organic produce in the restaurant. Sounds magical, exotic and romantic... and very, very, rustic! It's the simplicity that gets me... Are you game?
