It's been a frantic few days and now I look forward to spending time with loved ones and enjoying some downtime.  Time is the simplest, easiest thing you can spend on your family and friends - what better time to do that than now during holidays...  Happy Christmas Everyone xx

All is white

Some soft white tones to ease us into the evening today.  Subtle, neutral and minimal... just right.

I managed to pick up some last minute Christmas decorations on sale (already!) which was a bonus after I spent a couple of hours walking around some shops today.  And whilst pudding basins (or bowls) are now sold out(!), my attempt at a Traditional Christmas Pudding is put on hold for another year... I'm off to make a Christmas cake and cookies instead.

If you're in the area, you're welcome to pop in for a piece of cake and cuppa (aka glass of white or bubbles!)  tomorrow - that's when the girls are getting together ...

I'm feeling better already.   Hope you're treating yourself throughout the week too.

All is bright...

Tie a colourful bauble as a final flourish on your gifts, hang some bright or metallic decorations from the ceiling and spruce up your home with fun colour for an instant pop; it's Christmas time.

Sometimes you need a little bright colour to make the occasion sing; particularly on this side of the world when the sun is streaming through the windows on a hot and humid Christmas day (which I think by the current weather forecast, is what is going to happen next week!)

Just a few brightly hued items to perk up the home or give as gifts if you're 'popping' into a friends place for a xmas cheerio during the holidays... they just sing to me today.

Christmas Baubles

If you're like me, you would have spent most of the week tracking down the perfect christmas gifts for others (young and old), wrapping & tying & hiding said gifts, baking delectable sweets and treats (just practicing), and writing christmas cards... Am I right?

Maybe now is a good time to indulge ourselves ladies?

I've selected some little sparkling baubles for the Christmas tree - it is a wish list after all!  Consider it decoration for home and for yourselves.  Place said Christmas Tree visual in the vicinity of the male of the house and wait for the baubles to roll... in any event, you can just treat yourself, which is what I usually do.

Elegant Monochrome Christmas

It's beginning to look alot like Christmas... with some elegant monochrome inspiration.

Just a bit of wrapping paper to find and then put up the tree (hopefully tomorrow!) - and it'll officially be Christmas season at our house this week.

I hope to be able to be on top of the to-do list this week and then it'll be all smooth sailing right?  Well, until the actual day when eating everything in sight is in order...
