Collette Dinnigan - Spring 2012

I love these gorgeous pieces from Collette Dinnigan's new range.  Having pulled out the archives of different types of lace that she had developed over several years but never used, many of the dresses will be limited production runs of perhaps 40 dresses as the laces are so labor-intensive, you could say they are becoming extinct.

Many pieces, although ethereal looking, have boning and layers of nude silk that seem to disappear when they're worn (I love using nude silks underneath sheer printed fabric or laces for the same effect).

Just exquisite for that special day!

Helen, these are exquisite pieces and I couldn't agree more about the longer length on some of the dresses. How nice that real women will actually be able to wear them. Personally I can't carry off the mid thigh length and and tired of designers catering to the impossible ideal of the perfect model legs.
