Fine feathered friends

Hello my fine friends... never let it be said that my appetite is birdlike (because it sure isn't!), but I am partial to a little feathered decoration or inspiration as the case may be.

I just can't stop admiring the work of Australian artist Louise Saxton (below)... with her beautiful australian birds.  It's not like I'm going to don a full length feathered gown anytime soon - but if the occasion calls for it, I'll look no further than the Chanel bride in their A/W 12-13 Haute Couture show - thanks Karl!  I wonder if the house of Chanel, or couturier Christopher Josse, used Paris' master feather maker, Eric Charles-Donatien for their feather creations?  And who can forget those wonderful Lanvin windows in Paris...

Feathers or bird motifs are having a moment these days - do feathers tickle your fancy this fine Monday?

Hi girls. Oh, birds have always been a font of inspiration, maybe not only for their plumage but for their spirit of freedom...
Gorgeous these works.
