Subtle Origami Folds...

There's something subtle and inconspicuous about Toni Maticevski's designs - whether ever so slightly tinged in hues of plaster, eggshell and oyster, to the knock out detail of a brocade or heavily embroidered and beaded silk capelet, to a knock you out bolt of geranium red -  they come together in a quiet, unobtrusive and mysterious manner.  Elegant and timeless always not too far away.

And these beautifully styled and captured images of Toni Maticevski's Spring/Summer 2013/14 range through the lens of Zachary Handley for StyleMeRomy, portray that timelessness in each frame.

The modern take on geisha meets chignon, the luminous skin, the flattering eyelashes, the barely there lip all pulled together by the organic, twisted, origami folds of Toni's gorgeous gowns.

Wish I had somewhere special to go to now...

But wait, the drama doesn't end there... if you're in need of bright bolts of geranium red, this range has that to offer too.  A couple of images below that I found via My Empirical Life, taken during the MBFW Sydney catwalk show.

The back detail of that dress below is just superb!!

Glorious aren't they?

Sending you all a bolt of colour in this grey day were having today.

Beautiful, i love the second dress Helen. The upper part is gorgeous and how beautiful is that sheer floating over the dress. Stunning!

Wow! Another of my favourite desingers. Did I mention that I saw him present a trunk show at Christine in Flinders Lane earleir this year. If I wasn't so overwhelmed I may actually have spoken to him. Great images and mostly wearable designs.
