In The Schedule

Lets get into the weekend shall we ... with some reading, baking, and drawing ... inspired by these links I found this week -

image Chanel

+  An interview in Glass Magazine (here) with Karl Lagerfeld and his work at Chanel, its origins, the path taken so far, a legacy that forms the trinity that is quintessential french alongside de Gaulle and Picasso.

Illustration Ruby Browning

+  Also at Glass Magazine, an article on the 'return' of fashion illustration... um, I didn't know it had gone anywhere personally.. but there you are.

+  And whilst we're talking about, a look at the work of talented fashion illustrator Francois Berthoud here.

+  A stunning short film by director Asa Mader; an exploration of one woman's search for the source of light featuring gorgeous model Carmen Kass, here via Nowness.

+ Some gorgeous interiors by Melbourne designer Chelsea Hing via her webiste here.  I love the elegant, modern simplicity of this bedroom and that artwork.

+ I'm always looking for new salad ideas, so when I saw this Kale Market Salad recipe I just had to bookmark it - I'm really hot for Kale and Fennel these days.  Do you love Kale?  Recipe via 101 Cookbooks here.

this (Jade & Swarovski crystal necklace by Helene Zubeilda)

this (white sequinned blouse by Michel Klein)

these (Camel Bolide leather gloves by Causse Gantier)

+  Just a few pieces that I mentally noted from the pages of Modewalk (here) ; a website dedicated to promoting couture and luxury style from the avenues of Paris and the districts of Le Marais, Rue St Honore, and Palais Royal.  Oh, and their Pinterest pages (here) look fabulous too - get pinning - (I will as soon as I figure it all out!)...

Gosh, I love finding new links and things.. have a great weekend everyone xx

Interesting article about the fashion illustration. I personally prefer hand to computerised illustration, it's the first one that shows real skill and everything made by hand is by definition unique. The Michel Klein white blouse is beautiful, so feminine. Thank you for the salad recipe. Can't wait to try it. Have a wonderful weekend, Helen!
